Refund Policy

1. Overview

We want you to be satisfied with FounderTxt Pro. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds are available and how to request one.

2. Free Tier

The Free tier (3 tweets/day, 4 patterns) is completely free. No payment is required and no refund is applicable. Try the Free tier before upgrading — it's the best way to know if FounderTxt works for you.

3. Pro Subscription Refunds

Pro subscriptions ($5/month) are eligible for a refund under the following conditions:

  • First-time subscribers: If you cancel within 48 hours of your first Pro payment and have generated fewer than 10 tweets in that billing period, you are eligible for a full refund.
  • Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charge, wrong amount), you are eligible for a full refund of the erroneous charge.
  • Service unavailability: If the Service is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours during your billing period due to issues on our end, you may request a pro-rated refund for that period.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available in the following cases:

  • You used the Pro tier extensively (10+ tweets generated) and simply changed your mind
  • You forgot to cancel before the next billing cycle
  • You disagree with the AI's writing style or output quality (this is subjective; try the Free tier first)
  • Partial months — we do not offer pro-rated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations (you retain access until the period ends)

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email foundertxt@proton.me with:

  • Subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Email]"
  • The email address associated with your FounderTxt account
  • The date and amount of the charge you're disputing
  • A brief explanation of why you're requesting a refund

We will review your request and respond within 3 business days.

6. Processing

Approved refunds are processed through Waffo, our payment processor. Refunds typically appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

7. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is fraudulent or unauthorized, please contact us first at foundertxt@proton.me before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Most issues can be resolved quickly without the chargeback process, which can take weeks.

8. Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your Waffo billing dashboard. Cancellation stops future charges but does not automatically refund the current billing period. You retain Pro access until the end of the period you paid for.
